Trained in anthropology, this artist of Spanish origin has turned her curiosity for Eastern and Gypsy cultures into a passion and an art. Trained by dancers Lamia Saffiedine, Saïda Naït Bouda, Saädiya Souyah among others, she teaches Arab-amazigh and Maghrebi oriental dances and performs in the Paris region and at numerous festivals, such as Les Suds in Arles or Welcome in Tziganie.

She continues her dance journey towards Gypsy dances, with the help of Pétia Iourtchenko, Sinoma Jovic and Béatrice Lavielle among others. In 2010 she began her singing career with the Finzi Mosaïque Ensemble, a leading group on the gipsy scene made in France, then continued her career with other groups such as Radio Thrakia Electric (Balkan Music revisited), La Cie Mohein (Gypsy and nomadic music) or Kavkazz (Caucasian Music).

With her cover "Lagrimas Negras", the famous Cuban song, on Youtube, she exceeded  20 million views, and created the Ensemble QUIMERA, with the guitarist Soufiane Dakki, with whom they explore Latin and Hispanic music, with Mediterranean influences.

Trained with Martina Catella and Clotilde Rullaud, she specializes in traditional Mediterranean songs.

She has danced with Stephan Eicher, Fanfaraï, HaÏdouti Orkestar, Tony Gatlif, Jean Marc Zelwer, Ibrahim Maalouf, Titi Robin and Cirque Romanès, and sings for both stage and film with the composer Armand Amar.

Her two choreographic creations "Azahar" (2008) and "Les Andalousies, du Bosphore à Gibraltar" (2016), with her colleague and flamenco dancer Karine Gonzalez, fuse gypsy, tzigane and Arab styles and explore the cultural mix of this basin which extends from the Bosphorus to the Strait of Gibraltar.

This singer, dancer and choreographer draws on the traditions of the Mediterranean to create a contemporary reinterpretation adapted to her life, her work, her art...

Although her singing career began as a performer of traditional music from the Mediterranean and the Balkans, her repertoire now consists of her own compositions, in Spanish and Catalan—her two mother tongues. Her music is universal, with a simplicity and authenticity that is both understated and sophisticated.

Her work in musical staging is always intertwined with the expressive movement of the body, which tells her story as a woman, meeting the world—a fusion of Mediterranean and Latin American influences.

Discography:

La Madre EP

La Madre is Núria Rovira Salat’s first EP, composed of three tracks and released on March 30, 2022. In it, Núria shares her world as a woman, a mother, and an artist.

La Madre is also a magical music video in which Núria invites us into her bohemian and mystical world. Inspired by the third card of the tarot deck, she embodies the Empress—a symbol of motherhood, creation, and a source of communication and creativity.

The three tracks on the EP include the original songs La Madre and Fandango, written by Núria, and a cover of Lágrimas Negras.

Album: Amor de Flores

Released on March 1, 2024, throughout this album Núria explores the blossoming of flowers as a metaphor for feminine personal growth.

In this writing process, she alternates and blends Spanish, French, and Catalan. She aims to share, in her own way, her journey as a woman and her reconstruction of identity.

A personal and profound approach that merges psychology and spirituality, all expressed with power, color, and delicacy—like a true flower-woman!
